Is there a way of getting the SAR703 router to stop replying to pings? effectively playing dead.

Also the "ADSL Configuration Tool" that parses the telnet cli to gui, is it buggy or is it me interpreting things wrong? I get weird chars in the portforwarding list :o( I've seen on other posts about the NAT saying disabled when its not :oP

Ta.

ps. Sorry if this has already been mentioned, I had a quick search and couldnt find much about pings specifically for the 703 :o/

Don't know about the pings thing BUT the GUI rubbish is because both the GUI AND the web interface just display a set of values stored on you system NOT on the router. This is why each time you go into the configuration setup (usign GUI or web) you must reset the parameters. I know it would be nice for it to display what the settings actually are here but it don't I'm afraid - though personally I have found not loading the router actiual settings to be quite useful when I need to set a hundred routers all to the same sttings :-)
