Hi,

Still having issues with this router. It can be up and running for a week but then all of a sudden it stops responding, stops routing packets and I can not ping it or get to it via management interface (apart from serial console).

It will almost definately happen at least once a week, without fail. I have noticed that the DSL ACT light is on solid when this happens, where normally it wouldnt be.

Please can anyone let me know if they have had the same problem? It's getting very annoying now.

Cheers, Dan

Hi

I have the same problem but with the older SAR110. Are you running e-mule or other P2P software?

As these software like to open a LOT of connections and the Router's NAT transulation table gets full so it can't handle any more connections - this is were it hangs normally.

I have to switch off and on to fix. I've limited my e-mule connect setting - this works ok for me.

Here is my e-mule settings for referance if this would help.

MAX Sources: 500
MAX connection: 220
In 5 Sec : 50

Also I've lowered the TCP CLOSE WAIT setting on the router to 5 Seconds.

I don't know if this would help, but it works for me on the SAR110.

Hi,

Thanks for sharing your experiences. I don't really use any P2P software though and I dont have NAT enabled either. Well, I have disable NAT but the home screen still shows it as being enabled? Maybe thats a bug or something.

I only have 1 IP filter rule also, which is blocking access to management interfaces on the router.

I noticed that I had the DoS and Port Scan detection enabled so I have disabled these in case this is what is causing the lock ups.
