Since the installation of our Vigor 2900 we have been experiencing continued problems with our outgoing emails. We use Outlook 2002 and when we try to send a large text email or an email with an attachment the message will stay in the outbox. We usually find that the connection to the SMTP server will time out (usually after 10 mins) yet the message could be as small as 75KB. We are satisfied that all account and server settings are correct and have also tried different email clients (Outlook Express, Netscape etc) which has made no difference. The ADSL provider (BT) has suggested that it is down to our Vigor 2900 router as the problems started when it was installed. We are receiving emails without any problems and general internet browsing is fine, it is just this failure to send emails.
