Recently I imported a wireless digital media player (DMP) from china. I have connected it to my current home wireless network. It is then connected to my LCD HD TV by HDMI cable. I can see on the TV that the DMP is connected to network but I cannot share files from my wireless PC.

I have a Linksys WRT300N wireless router with IP 192.168.1.1
I have a wireless PC configured to IP 192.168.1.11
I have a wireless netbook configured to IP 192.168.1.10

So I configured the media player to IP 192.168.13
(in static configuration mode only. the DHCP mode is automatic and acquires an IP address 196.254.29.137 set by manufacturer)

But the media player can not show on TV the shared folders of PC. The media player came with a operating program which I have installed on the pc and configured as per manual. If the media player detects the PC and sharing folder and the media player program (mediamania) I can watch streaming videos directly from internet.

But I am able to do a peer to peer connection between media player and the PC whereby I am able to play movies stored on my PC on the HD TV and watch photos.

The windows 11 media player in its library, media sharing option has detected the media player as DMA 201 with IP address 192.268.1.13.

Can somebody guide me how to use this media player online. I am able to share files between the PC and the netbook in the home wireless network, also the printer except the digital media player (DMP).

PS. My laptop and PC have Windows XP as o/s.
